Care

A few habits keep clothes right for years, and most of them mean doing less.

Knitwear

  • Air between wears; wool rarely needs washing.
  • Hand wash cold with a wool detergent, or dry clean. Never tumble dry.
  • Dry flat, away from heat, and fold knits rather than hang them.

Cotton and jersey

  • Wash inside out at 30°C with similar colours.
  • Garment-dyed pieces soften and fade a little with each wash; that is the dye doing its job.
  • Line dry, and iron warm while slightly damp.

Outerwear

  • Brush off dirt once dry and spot clean where you can.
  • Dry clean only when the label says so.
